The PIONEER Zephyr was an articulated all-stainless steel streamlined passenger built by the BUDD Car Company.  The original train was a 3-unit set with the lead unit #9900 BURLINGTON with a 660 hp model 201-A prime mover from Winton.  Behind the Power/ Railway Express car was a Baggage/ RPO/ Buffet-Coach and the third car was Coach-Observation Car #670 with BURLINGTON-ZEPHYR on sides near the tail
